We pledge that anyone who may want to explore our township history that no public funds have been, or will be used to create, maintain, edit, revise, add to or delete from INCP.com.
The Ensweiler family created INCP to serve as a continuing forum which will become the living history of Center Township, City of Crown Point, Lake County, Indiana. The city of Crown Point is also known as the Hub and serves as the county seat of Lake County Indiana. Information posted will be (by its very nature) public information.
Private, confidential Center Township Poor Relief Clients - those people we help - shall never have their names intentionally made public. This part of our work is no one's business.
The domain name, INCP.com, originated in 1996. INCP is Indiana North Coast Publications, which is located in Crown Point. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of John C. Ensweiler Advertising Agency organized March 27, 1975. The agency is owned by John C. Ensweiler and his son, Eric C. Ensweiler.
Indiana North Coast Publications created the East Chicago News, which was published from May 3, 1986 to May 25, 1999 .
John C. Ensweiler Advertising Agency created the Merrillville Town Board / Council News, which was published from February 23, 1977 to March 25, 1995.
Mission
The Mission of the INCP.com website is to record and preserve the history of Center Township, Lake County, Indiana. This shall be an ongoing enterprise.
INCP.com was conceived as a medium of communication and, as such, the creators of INCP.com shall use generally accepted principles of 21st century journalism.
The creators will provide a forum for people to freely share information about Crown Point, Center Township, Lake County Indiana. All information on this site is freely downloadable.
INCP.com is a free service. INCP.com may seek certain grant dollars for enhanced delivery of our editorial product.
Please be advised, if you want your Center Township experience, history, knowledge, and opinion et al. placed on the INCP.com website, you, by your own volition, will allow your contribution to become the property of INCP.com so we may share it with everyone.
The creators of INCP.com will never knowingly include any information, which is either libelous or slanderous.
The creators of INCP.com shall never pay any funds for contributions. We will be forever governed by the rights, principles, and responsibilities guaranteed by the First (1st) Amendment to our Constitution. We shall practice “freedom of the press” with all its rights, privileges, and responsibilities.
